Eco Park District at Future City Mixed-Use Development

Role: Project Designer

As one of the key program components of the Future City at Kharghar Hill Master Plan, the Eco Park is an “edutainment” venue focused on sustainability and preservation of the natural Indian Heritage. Located adjacent to the main forest preservation area, most of the land will be allocated to outdoor eco-activities, while the cascading lagoons will house floating interactive museum pods for the visiting public.

The southern edge of Eco Park is sheltered by the main flying roof structure of the Festival Walk while the northern edge remains open to the natural and steep preservation forest.  The park allows the adventurous visitors to experience outdoor sports and unspoiled nature, and to explore indigenous flora and fauna.

This winning consortium entry was selected by CIDCO in early 2010.  Working in collaboration with Ajit Bhuta & Associates (India), I was the lead project designer in charge of the competition design proposal.
