Rapid Transit Metro Station

Role: Project Designer

This project design was conceptualized as a prototype for future metro stations.  The iconic sculptural shell is made of solar panels and triangulated pieces of fritted glass.  Larger versions will contain ancillary retail and dining facilities.

One novel feature of this prototype design is that the underside of the rail structures will incorporate suspended elevated walkways that will allow pedestrians to circulate along the axis of the transit line without being interrupted by the vehicular traffic below.
