Role: Project Designer

The Promenade is a proposed mixed-use development that combines family townhouse dwellings and live/work studios with boutique retail/restaurant and office programs. This master plan parti organizes the diverse program components by creating an internal promenade that links the building massing with a series of outdoor plazas to create opportunities for social interaction, and to enhance the quality of indoor/outdoor living.

The retail/ restaurant and office program components are located at the intersection of South Mint Street and West Summit Avenue. Building massing is pushed to the site boundaries to create a strong urban edge, and to allow for the placement of a large public plaza that hosts public functions such as weekend farmer’s market and outdoor art exhibits. The public plaza also serves as an outdoor dining area for the boutique restaurants and coffee shop.
